Cate Le Bon – Mug Museum

The L.A. based, Wales born, folk singer/songwriter Cate Le Bon has prepped her third full length, Mug Museum, for a November 12th release via Wichita Recordings in North America and Turnstile for the rest of the globe. Cate released one of my personal favorite records last year CYRK and my excitement for this new release is palpable. Add to that her collaborations with artists such as Kevin Morby (Woods, The Babies) who is currently readying his debut solo record, Perfume GeniusSweet Baboo (Gruff Rhys, Slow Club), H. Hawkline, and Nick Murray (White Fence) and producer Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newsome, Devendra Banhart) and this record will easily see more than a few end of year lists.

Stream the new album in its entirety via Turnstile here and then pre-order                   Mug Museum here.

Decibelcast Vol.15 “Distance”

When we are separated from those we love the distance no matter how great, no matter if physical or emotional in nature, can feel like a multi-verse. Sometimes that distance can melt away in a phone call or a smile or words on a page and other times it’s a persistent strangle hold in the core of our being. Wherever you are in the world there’s more than likely someone across an ocean, state lines or merely a wall away that you’d like to feel closer to, this mix reflects that emotion. A natural extension from our last Decibelcast “Wandering” comes Decibelcast Vol.15 “Distance”
